You know how when you send someone an email, a name is displayed? How do you change that display name? I know you pick the name when you register but now I would just like to be able to change the name (for my own safety, I don't want my real name getting displayed when i talk to strangers I've met online). go to your net explore/browser, go to your msn login page and go to my account and edite profile you can change your names in there and all that stuff. the name you had there is on record for microsofts records and if you need any future help just send them an email and they can get any lost or wrongly deleted emails etc.In hotmail, how do you change your name that you registered with?
Click Profile at the top, then Details then Edit for the name.
There is a Profile button on the top right ,go and edit it.
