How you change the name of who who your computer is registered too?

under system properties in the general tab how can you change the name to whom windows is registeredHow you change the name of who who your computer is registered too?
This is how you change the Name and Company information. It works on XP and 2000.



1. Click Start, and then click Run.



2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.



3. Locate the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\

Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion



4. To change the company name, do the following:

In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOrganization.

Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.



5. To change the name of the registered owner, do the following:

In the right pane, double-click RegisteredOwner.

Under Value data, type the name that you want, and then click OK.



6. Click Exit on the File menu to quit Registry Editor.



[Be careful editing the registry. Mistakes can cause problems, but in this case, the areas being edited are informational only and mistakes would not doom your system.]How you change the name of who who your computer is registered too?

do a fresh install? there might be a less drastic way
its not that easy to change the system name to whom it is register to

for this u have to edit the registry of windows

there is a lot of risk in doing that if u Miss typed any thing else then Ur windows is boomed so don't try it unless and until u know the exact trick



so don't try this at home

let the Genius be genius
If this is your computer, then it should already have your name.
