My son found out he has a 3 yr old what are his rights as a father?

It depends on the jurisdiction. In most, if he is not listed, then he will have to take a paternity test to prove hs claim. Legally, he has NO rights as a father. He has to be careful because the child's mother is the custodian of the child and the court WILL not grant joint custody unless the mother is found to be unfit. He WILL be REQUIRED to pay child support, and MAY be granted visitation. They are NOT automatically tied together.
