One more! This is a work related one. Tell me what you think? Please keep your answers clean though!!?

What Makes a Good or Bad Customer? What makes a bad customer? When you let your kids run thru the store and mess things up. Telling us how to bag your items and leaning over the counter to make sure. When you curse and call us bad names for denying the sale of tobacco or alcohol products. Saying hurtful things before you stop to think about it. When your phone call is more important than anyone else. Harassing us about the little things we have nothing to do with. When several carts are put out for your convience and you want the one we are using. When you try to confuse us by short changing our register's. For thinking and yes even saying that we are below you. When you have a fit for not getting what you want. When you've had a bad day at work and take it out on us. What is a good customer? For being friendly and always having a smile. Making small talk and laughing at our jokes. Setting your items on the conveyor belt nicely in perfect order. For asking how we are doing and mean it!One more! This is a work related one. Tell me what you think? Please keep your answers clean though!!?
You have a bad day, sweetie? Sorry! I try to be one of the nice customers, and rude people like your examples annoy me too. You're not alone! One more! This is a work related one. Tell me what you think? Please keep your answers clean though!!?

DEALIN WITH THE PUBLIC HAS NEVER BEEN EASY ROAD

I WAS TAUGHT THAT IF YA CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NICE ABOUT PEOPLE STAY QUIET

AND AFTER WORKIN AT DISNEY YOU MEET SOME PRETTY GRUMPY PEOPLE FROM TIME TO TIME
What makes a good customer is good customer service. Even if a customer is having a bad day, then you should smile and ask if there is anything they need some assistance finding. Always be cheerful and courteous, and try to remember their names. If you introduce yourself to your customer, nine out of ten times your customer will introduce himself or herself, as well. Make your customer enjoy a PERSONAL experience and you'll be surprised at the results you get. I have a customer that everyone else hates to handle at my taxicab company. For some reason I get smiles, laughs, and even an occasional invite to dinner, as well as a story or two from him. I never rush my customers. They all know they will all receive the same service from our company (MY rules), no matter whether they ride a short distance or out of town. Each customer becomes a repeat customer when he or she is treated like the ONLY customer in the place. When that customer departs, THEN relax and get ready to repeat with the next person. Having to deal with people putting things in the wrong places is just part of the business, and you can inform parents that their children will be sold as slaves if they continue to act in an unruly fashion. Just let kids be kids and teach them how to help you sell to their parents. They will be ';working'; so they won't make such a mess. When bagging groceries or purchases, customers have to carry the stuff in at their homes. They know what they can carry, so let them tell you. So what if you use more bags? Cater to them. They'll come back and ask for YOUR register every time. As for the cranky persons, ask if there's something that you can do to make their day better. If they complain about a certain employee, tell them that person will be shot at daybreak along with the fool that hired him or her, and that you will be selling tickets at midnight if the customer would like to come and see the fun. Usually that gets a laugh or two and the whole thing gets forgotten. Then, don't forget to tell the employee that you told the customer that. As for the ';short-changers,'; well, they're scammers, theives and not really customers, then, are they? So forget about them. Offer to let them see the security video of your register and what they handed you in front of a manager. They'll slink away. Those wanting to buy alcohol or tobacco and are denied can be told that they can call a police officer and complain if they wish, with an offer to use the store's phone. They won't. They'll usually just leave.

There is no such thing as a bad customer, only bad customer service. The customer is always right. That's what has always worked for me. We keep getting more and more customers, and we keep growing, so I guess we're doing SOMETHING right, now aren't we?

Just remember this...If you don't give your customers great service your competitors will.
well the question goes both ways , yes there are bad customers , but there are also bad employess that work out the stores and outlets as well . , i do agree about the parents who have no controll over there kids that there kids are doing this and that . but isnt most stores theroy as long as the customers happy so r we . as for the short changin well its you fault that your register is short at the end of the day cause its up to the clerk to double count the money before the customer leaves , yes some customers will recieve a lil to much change back and not say nothin but i feel yes they should of been honest but the clerk should of been more carefull , and yes i dont blame a customer for gettign made when the stores offer certain items have them in there adds and then dont have them available , having the items availabel will bring customers back as well as how nice the store is kept as well as how nice the employees are to the customers and how wiling clerks are willing t help the customers find what they need , and say im sorry we dont have that itewm in stock right now but we have a simler item at the same price or even a rain check etc . so when it comes to customer adn clerk relations i think it goes both ways , and we the customers have the right to say how we want are things bagged and put into the cart after all we r the ones whos paying for it , will u buy a dozen broken eggs no u wouldnt would u want your grocerys like bread , cake etc put at the bottom of your cart or placed in the bottom of a bag iwth milk or something on it no u would not,

i can give u an example the other day my son hubby and i walked to the grocery store , we bought a cart full of food and other items , the clerk was really nice and we were nice in return the bag girl was also nice , we did not pay attention to how the girl bagged the items we did not think we would need to sence the girl has been there for awhile etc , anyway on the way home we wernt even out of the parking lot yet with our cart of food , i stoped to light my cigarette when i looked down i had noticed there was milk leaking from the cart so i started to remove some of the bags from the cart , the bag girl well the bagging clerk had placed my 10 count box of soap in the bottom of the grocery bag no biggy there , but then she placed a galoon of milk on top of the soap side ways , then placed the bag in the cart with othr objects on top of the milk etc , what do u think happened , the milk being placed on its side leaked out of the carton onto my soap , making each bar of soap wet , i live 6 blocks away from the store if i didnt stop to light a smoke i would of probaly lost all my milk and the saop would of been a total waiste , did i go back n complain no i just came home and put the stuff away etc , will i have the girl bag my grocerys again no i wont me or my hubby will bag them ourself . and when u talk about how costomers treat u etc think about those nurses etc every day thy hear it from us , family members etc , know i dont think its right that u as a clerk have to put up with it but customers dont have to put up with it either . its just like when u go to a salon to get you nails or hair done , thy start cutting your hair u say no i want less off here and more here etc im sure they dont like that either u go in tell them what u want and when they start doing it u tell them how to do it .

as for me i go to the same store and im polite and talk to all the employeees there no matter what mood im in if i had a bad day i let them know .

but like i said it goes both ways , both custmers adn emplyees of the store need to be nice to one another

i have knocked somethin off a shelf and i went and got some papertowels to clean it up along comes an emplyee and she begins to help clean it up she told me to go that her boss might get mad because its her job to clean if anything is spilled etc and she dont ewant to risk getting introuble .what is perfect order on a conveyer belt , theres no particular order that things should be placed etc , but i do try to put my heavier itm on first so that i dont have anything heavey placed ontop of mty eggs bread fruit etc
