In country music, is the ';voice crack'; thing natural, or can you learn to do it? example...?

particularly in country songs, when changing registers the singers voice ';cracks';, is that natural, or can you train your voice to do that? example... in rascal flatts rendition of ';here comes goodbye';, when gary sings the line ';and she was right here in my arms tonight'; the transition from my and arms has a little crack in it. if it is possible to train your voice to do that, how do you?In country music, is the ';voice crack'; thing natural, or can you learn to do it? example...?
It's called a twang and you can definitely train your voice to do it. I'm from Wisconsin and a friend of mine from high school is the lead singer in a country band, twang and all. Has nothing to do with being from the south, it's just the way you sing country music. In country music, is the ';voice crack'; thing natural, or can you learn to do it? example...?
I'm not sure how you would train your voice to do that, I think if your singing country it just comes, and because most of the people who sing country come from the south, they have that natural accent in their voices. But all in all it's just the range that you use, and the way you sing it naturally.
Good question. Its genetic so if you can't do it now you'll never be able to do it. But if you find some voice crack DNA, you may be in luck.
you can do it yourself..its not hard
