Changing registered owner on My Computer?

Last summer I lived with my sig other. He changed my account settings on my Microsoft Word to him as the registered owner. How do I change it back? I have been getting a lot of ';hacker'; warnings. This morning when I tried to get into Microsoft word a warning said that he has blocked my access!!!! Its my computer. How can I change it and what else should I do? Help.Changing registered owner on My Computer?
You need to regain Administrative level on your computer, and remove the security limitations that your ex-boyfriend left behind.

If he's not that good in computers, you can create a new user with a ';Computer Administrator'; level. Then log-off from your current account and log-in back with the new user.

You should be able to use your computer with the new account. Transfer your personal files to your new account.

The last resort (but the best approach) is to backup your documents and reformat your PC.

Its a better way because your ex may have left a trojan in your computer. If your computer is connected to the internet, this trojan will enable him (or anyone) to access your pc from outside/elsewhere.Changing registered owner on My Computer?
My first guess is that your user account doesn't have administrative privileges anymore. Log on to safe mode by rebooting your PC and tapping F8 slowly while it starts up until you see a menu that lets you select different boot options--select safe mode.

After it's done entering safe mode, you should be able to log on as either your user account or as Administrator--choose Administrator. Then enter your Control Panel, then User Accounts, click on your account name, press Change My Account Type, then make yourself a Computer Administrator.
